Eight weeks after
Jake’s first trim his hooves look stronger and some concavity is returning
Five Months after Jake’s first trim his heels are lower and his frog looks much more normal.
Jake’s hooves still have a long way to go before they recover and the weakness in his hoof walls still causes a problem. We think this is a dietary issue and are working on identifying which minerals Jake might be lacking.
Julia hit a problem when Jake suffered a stone bruise after he leapt off the horsebox ramp on to road planings. Up until that time he had been steadily improving and she was back riding him again. All we can say is keep going Julia and time and natural hoof care will heal Jake's hooves.
