Let the horse be your teacher. Well we will add to this ...... let the owner too! Caroline, who owns Daisy, has fully taken on board all the dietary information we have given her. She has made sure that Daisy has had no access to grass for over a year and her tenacity and determination has been rewarded with a total hoof makeover. Caroline keeps Daisy at a livery yard but that did not stop her realising that green grass seemed to be toxic to Daisy and was making her ill and lame.
The main influence on this horse was NOT a trim, you cannot improve horses feet with just a trim. Caroline has affected Daisy’s hooves far more than Performance Barefoot because she has given Daisy a diet which has created a strong, tough hoof free from ripples and laminitic problems. If your horse is still struggling as a barefoot horse, if it still has ripples in the hoof wall, a flat sole, footiness on stones, stretching and fungal infection in the white line and frog then ..........
