April 2010 - Ridebare 2010
I think we can say Morris is not a youngster anymore! He deserves the title Endurance Arab now! He and Sarah went on a five day trek across the North Yorkshire Moors with four other horses and riders. What fun and the weather was stunning. All four horses completed nearly 80 miles over the five days. Morris was of course completely bare over every type of terrain possible. The video of this ride is here.
May 2010
Morris took part in two endurance rides as well as going to a Flint and Denbigh fun ride. He came second in the 25 mile LS class at the Sport Endurance Beautiful Betws ride. This was a challenging ride on the hills bear Betws y Coed in North Wales. Lots of steep climbs, lots of gates and lots of rock!
Two weekends later he went to the Endurance GB Spring Frolic at Delamere Forest competing in the novice 32 km. The ground was very hard, the sun very hot but Moo wasn’t perturbed, he gained a grade one averaging a speed of 11.5kph and won Best Condition in his class!

June 2010
Morris competed at Cheshire View held by Sport Endurance. He flew round the 25 mile course but then had to do an additional 5 miles because Sarah had missed out a check point. He didn’t argue once when he was told to go back out of the venue and go out again. Even after this he still came sixth out of a large field.
Two weeks later Morris went to Cirencester held by Endurance GB. He competed in two classes, Friday a Novice 29km CR gaining a grade two.. Then on Sunday the same 29km route gaining a grade one. As the pictures show he was on excellent form and had a fantastic time galloping home on the Sunday.
July 2010
The Wirral ride held by Endurance GB, Morris was impeccably behaved even when a bolting horse came past him on the beach. He completed the 42 km ride at an average speed of 12.54 kph and ended with a heart rate of 42.
Sandon Estate, Sport Endurance 20 mile ride and Morris came second out of a field of 25. His average speed was 8.16 mph and his heart rate 40 to start and 40 to finish! Go Morris!
For eight days Morris and Sarah had a fabulous time at Trevor Hall where Ken Faulkner helped Morris go beautifully in a bosal.
August 2010
Endurance GB, Barbury Castle 40 km, grade one, average speed 14.35 kph, starting heart rate 37, finishing heart rate 38. In addition Morris and Sarah rode as part of the winning North West team competing in the Interregional championship. The ride had some excellent going but parts had some long stretches of flinty tracks which Morris did not even notice. Go Morris!
A week later Morris and Sarah had great fun at the Isle Fun Ride at Bicton near Shrewsbury. This 10 mile ride has to be one of the most lovely rides of the summer. It takes the riders along the banks of the River Severn and has over 80 optional jumps. Morris got his eye in over the smaller jumps and even popped down some quite large steps at a trot.
